- Can I track rent per seat rather than per room?
- Yes. Seats are the unit RentMate assigns residents to, so two people sharing a room can have different rents, join dates and notice periods.
- Does RentMate collect the rent money?
- No. RentMate records what is owed and what was paid; the money moves however you already move it. The records are bookkeeping entries, not a payment processor.
- What happens when a resident leaves mid-month?
- You set a notice period per property. Assignments end on a date, and the ledger keeps the resident’s history after they leave.
- Does my hostel get its own website?
- Yes — a subdomain like yourhostel.rentmate.com immediately, or your own domain with automatic HTTPS. You choose whether it appears in search.
